On April 9, Greene Concepts Inc. (OTC:INKW) was in the news after making a major new announcement, and it could be a good time for investors to take a closer look into the details. The company announced yesterday that it had hired the services of retail cloud services leader SPS Commerce Inc. SPS would provide Greene Concepts with an online platform for shipment, order management, and invoicing so that the company’s electronic ordering processing system could be made more efficient.
It was noted that SPS had been hired specifically in the capacity of a full-service strategic partner responsible for supporting, setting up, and training the staff at Greene Concepts on the Walmart Electronic Data Exchange (EDI) compliance procedures. SPS is the global leader in EDI and would offer the use of its already established EDI links to Walmart to record, speed up, and automate all production orders and more.
In this regard, it should be noted that EDI is a methodology related to information exchange that allows companies to send information digitally from one business system to another in a standard format. It is regarded as one of the more important components of business process automation. The technology related to EDI programs syncs easily with hundreds of thousands of business processes at other companies.
The Chief Executive Officer of Greene Concepts, Lenny Greene, spoke about the latest move from the company. He stated that the hiring of SPS Commerce would help the company fulfill all the Walmart orders at a much faster pace. Additionally, the technology would also help the company recoup the invoice payments in relation to the products sold. Additionally, through this deal, Greene Concepts would also become part of a thriving community of more than 12,000 active suppliers that use the EDI connection of SPS.
