There has not been a lot of news with regards to Appia Energy Corp (OTCMKTS:APAAF) in recent days but yesterday investors did pile on to the stock and sent it soaring by 10%.
More importantly, the rally in the stock on Wednesday took the gains made by the Appia stock to as much as 27% over the course of the past month. The last important news to have emerged about the company was back on September 2 when Appia Energy announced that it appointed Nicolas Guest as its new Vice President for Exploration. The appointment went into effect immediately.
It is a major new appointment and one that could have a significant impact on Appia Energy’s business in the near future. In this regard, it si necessary to note that Guest had earlier been involved as the Project Manager at Alces Lake for Appia Energy and the latest appointment marks his entry into the executive team at the company.
However, at the same time, it is perhaps also important to keep in mind that the rally on Wednesday might not have been related to the appointment of Guest. Hence, it could be a good move to keep an eye on the news wires with regards to Appia Energy.
